Thank you so much for your chronicles of the Vietnam war. My brother was there in 1965-66, ChuLai. Was shot in head in one of the many battles he was in shortly before he was to head home, in coma in hospital for several weeks but regained consciousness, was sent home and stationed at Barstow for a few months, until his 4 years enlistment was up. Came home, married in his first year in college, graduated, taught school for 40 years. Had 2 kids and several grandkids. Died of cancer this year. Had a marine honor guard. Very impressive but extremely sad. He was/is highly respected. Left quite a legacy.
