An email was sent to our website as follows:
Hi Charlie Company (Fred),
I asked my brother-in-law Art Zavala to help me look for contact who may have served with my Cousin Danny Carmona in Vietnam. I have numerous photos of Danny and others in combat areas and would like to share them as well as any stories people may have of my cousin.
Danny and his wife were killed in a car accident in the early 70s but he was (and still is) my hero. I’m proud to say that I’m 52 years old and still ask myself on an almost daily basis what Danny would have done when facing a tough situation.
Anyway – I have many photos and I’d love to communicate with and share them with those who fought alongside Danny in Vietnam.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you all for your service to our country!
Regards,
Thomas E. Martinez – President – Taylor Chamber of Commerce – 1519 N. Main St. – Taylor, TX. 76574 Cell 512-922-0605 – Office 512-352-6364
Danny and his wife were killed in an auto accident on November 17, 1970 while on their way to Fort Hood.
