I can remember getting C-rations out in the field at Ft. Polk, Louisiana. Some rations had a chocolate vitamin fortified bar which tasted decent. I lived in Landisville, PA growing up and I was about 6 miles from Lititz which had a company Wilber Chocolate Factory. The chocolate bars in the MREs were made there. When I ate the bar, I kept thinking about home sweet home.
