My tour of duty was around Danang with the Americal Division 1/46 Infantry in 71-72. I watched the fall of Danang in 75 with my father back in the world. Only knew this aircraft as Puff the magic dragon, never spooky. Only saw it in action once about 6 clicks West of Firebase 350 which was South of Hill 270. It was a beautiful sight, but today, not so much.
