Charlie Company Vietnam 1966-1972 
Some branches the service were deployed to Vietnam as Groupd. Military Intelligence, for example, not then a combat branches represented by the 525yj M.I. Groupfrom Fort Bragg which included some old time regular units, an HHC company, Aviation Detachmentand seven provisional battalions which were much smaller than a typical battalion, consisting of “Detachments A, B, C, and D, each with a specialized intelligence function. Some NSA units were also included the Group. The battalions were eventually retitled as numbered M.I. Detachments.
